LMSWFrequently Asked Questions
-
Let’s start with a free 15 - minute consultation.
During that consultation, your therapist will get some basic information and answer any of your questions.
If you feel good about working with them, they will send you the intake paperwork for you to complete.
If you are using insurance, they will check your benefits and, if possible, let you know your copay.
We will schedule our first session together.
-
Your first session is all about getting to know each other and figuring out what your goals are for therapy. There will be a lot of questions, but this helps to lay the foundation of our work together.
-
We will start by meeting weekly so we can gain a full understanding of your situation and make a plan for helping you to feel better. We can then move into bi-weekly or monthly appointments based on your progress as well as schedules, finances, etc.
-
Intake appointments are $145 and additional follow up appointments are $130 each.
-

If you would like to meet virtually for some or all of your sessions, let us know! Virtual therapy works the same way that in-person therapy does, but it’s done through the computer. For our sessions, we will use a secure HIPAA compliant program that you access through your patient portal.

-If a client threatens grave bodily harm or death to another person;
-If the therapist has a reasonable suspicion that a client or other named victim is the perpetrator, observer of, or actual victim of physical, emotional or sexual abuse or neglect of children under the age of 18 or of a vulnerable adult or elderly person;
-If the court of law issues a legitimate subpoena for information stated on the subpoena; and
-If a client is in therapy or being treated by order of a court of law, or if information is obtained for the purpose of rendering an expert’s report to an attorney.
